Supper Club - October 2017

Columbus Day

On 13th and 14th October we will be hosting a supper club to mark Columbus Day, a holiday across Latin America which celebrates the ‘discovery’ of the New World by Cristobal Colon.  We thought it fitting to mark this occasion by featuring dishes from across the continent, and we’ll also be taking full advantage of the rich flavours of autumn in the Northern hemisphere.  Our main dish will be wild boar, with plantain puree and farofa (vegetarian option also available – just ask!).

Cost: £40 per head including welcome cocktail, BYO

Start time: welcome cocktails at 7pm, dinner served from 7.30pm

Lulo Amaretto Sour

An Amaretto cocktail served long and partnered with lulo, a tropical fruit unique to Colombia

Arepa de Huevo

Corn dumpling surrounding a whole egg, served with aji and suero costeno (Caribbean cream cheese)  

Ceviche de Atun

Fresh citrus-marinated tuna with avocado


South American version of tamales, steamed corn cakes filled with cheese, onion and basil, served with palm heart salad


Wild boar with plantain puree and aromatic farofa

Casa Sabor Classics

For our first Casa Sabor at Home, we have decided to start where we left off when we closed the doors on Essex Road, so we are going to revisit some of the Sabor classics dishes. Expect a welcome with our passion fruit margarita, to be followed by the menu below. You will get a taste of Esnayder’s own coffee from his family farm in Colombia.
