Ever since closing Sabor restaurant on Essex Road a couple of years ago, I have been running pop up restaurants themed around Latin American foods, and providing catering and event management for a huge variety of private, corporate and other parties. None the less I missed seeing our loyal followers and friends on a regular basis and in a more intimate setting. So early in 2017 I decided to launch “Mesa at Casa Sabor”, a supper club in my home right next door to Sadler’s Wells Theatre near Angel, Islington.
This exciting venture has given me a chance to catch up with you and to showcase some of our classic dishes and the tasty new Sabor recipes we have developed for our catering and events business. These are intimate and warm events, a dinner party format, with a carefully designed set menu, and a welcoming cocktail (though of course we can adjust the menu to suit guests’ dietary requirements).
Casa Sabor at Home will continue our promotion of the cultural diversity of the Latin American Cuisine, linking traditional recipes and ingredients in a more contemporary way of cooking and presenting our dishes.

Casa Sabor Classics
For our first Casa Sabor at Home, we have decided to start where we left off when we closed the doors on Essex Road, so we are going to revisit some of the Sabor classics dishes. Expect a welcome with our passion fruit margarita, to be followed by the menu below. You will get a taste of Esnayder’s own coffee from his family farm in Colombia.
